in all seriousness… my dream is to work with Hussein Chalayan… to re-think the concept of fashion rather than simply the aesthetic of it… creating a world where fashion is intelligent and sustainable, where it is not longer about the shade of purple or the silhouette of a skirt – there are bigger issues to deal with. Fashion needs to change and hussein is one of the few people doing this in an innovative and new way…

could this be asked more specific? are you asking about my personal experience of what happens during sleeping, or about hopes and wishes for the future?
If these questions shall be used in some way either as research for collections too come or in general just putting out keywords for fans to reflect upon, I still think it’s important to be specific.

but anyway, I could say that my first reaction to the question is that a dream is rather embarrasing to talk about, since it means digging yourself into random daily life experiences, mixed up with secret hopes and fantasies…That area of something very, very specific and daily combined with utopia and fetishism. But when that’s said, I think it should be kept in it’s form and not be interpret into meaning…Freud has done enough damage.

Dreams are manifested hopes and desires. Just look around you. Everything you see began as a dream. A dream is simply these things in it’s embryonic form.

…..is a dream not a moment in which time loose his importance and function? a timeless moment…..

…Maybe one could argue that it is a regular ‘date’ with the death of a Cartesian logic environment. A great idea and the same time a conscious situation of utopia. Is it an inspiration? Is it an endless conflict with our fears or hopes? Is it autobiography in a way? Is it a psycho treatment? Is it a wonderful bottomless bottle containing our ambitious goals in life? Who knows… It looks as though, a parallel universe is overlapping the one we live in, into which we enter extracting and creating stories and visions out of time, traveling within places immediately combining everything in an unexpected relation to each other, in non-space creating our space and living the non-real life. A universe, where everything is out of logic continuity following, a subconscious conversation with our Ego. This could be summarized as Self-Interaction…

my idea of a dream is the bridge of Galata,in the evening, when the first lights turn on,the rain makes all the fishermen’s coats shining, the boats cross the Bosphore, the muezzin’s voice paints all the minaret, the seagulls try to sleep and the colors change the past into the future. I was there last week end, I was thinking of u and I sent u my love.

survival – a coping mechanism? so an escapism and reordering of everything we don’t understand. dreams aid progression – every creation begins as a dream

A dream is potentiality.

A dream without a plan is just a fantasy. A dream is todays fantasy for tomorrow.
People with out a vision perish. Write the vision down.
Have a dream + a plan + write it down.

A dream is a reminder of the restrictions of reality.

When i dream i believe it is my subconscious telling me something (-yes -usually in an extremely abstract way).
ie: I dreamt i dropped beet-root on someone’s white carpet. My friend told me i was nervous about something. I was.
I dream i am running late. Or I’m really exited about something.
I dream about relatives who have passed away; because i miss them.
I dream i can fly. I will be somewhere then turn around and be in a different country or different scenario all together.
Giant creatures -even monsters made up by my mind – a GIANT spider- my biggest fear.
Some would say the latter would be classed more as a nightmare. But in my definition, it is my subconscious telling me, perhaps warning of something.

A dream when you are sleeping is the subconscious mind re-ordering itself. Sometimes we dream our greatest fears, as this is when our darkest thoughts that have been buried, resurface themselves, as we are not conscious to stop them. Sometimes our sleep dreams can conjure up ideas and inspirations, songs, pictures, stories, and such like.
My idea of a dream, a waking dream, is a goal, or an achievement that is important to you, and you wish this dream to become reality.
I have dreams, they are realistic ones, I will put in the work to make them reality. We should all have dreams to strive for, they keep us alive.

A dream is a showcase of yet unlived experiences. Its a philosophy that endlessly creates shiver, spasm, outcry and on the other hand shares pleasure, sensation and and personal satisfaction.WIth my dream i colour my own world which is my own personal responce to my everyday life.WIth that i built my own storyline and i am the protagonist…

when we are asleep, the dream-world that we inhabit is our reality at that time. yet when we awake we dismiss it as our subconscious or our imagination.
who is to say that our dream life is any less real than our waking life? how can we tell which is which?

… something you think you can’t get, but makes you walking! Like Hope.

Dream is the gas that make us keep walking (what else?)

A dream has a black background and is populated by figures and objects that occur in black and white. While one sleeps, one perceives this world to be in full color; however, when recalling the dream one realizes that the dream was without color. A dream exists as a real landscape where one may have supernatural powers and/or experiences, à la Matrix, depending on the contents of the dream. during the course of a dream one is limited by the super-ego, in quotidian situations; enhanced by the id, in super natural occurrences; and brought back to awakeness by the ego when either of the first two interfere.

it is something that might or happen to u in real life. hope n fear

my idea of a dream…is living! equally unpredictable, equally exciting!and sometimes confusing. When you dream you thought it is reality, things are as real as you can get. But when you wake up it is no more than an imagination in your mind (maybe a pulse through your synapse?), you sort of lost bearings with space and time for that split second. Maybe a dream is the little tunnel our mind creates for us to jump from one imaginative space to another, from reality to fiction? although who knows which ‘imaginative space’is the supposed ‘reality’.
I am really interested in your work, will you be offering summer placements? I have sent my CV and cover letter to you, I really hope you will consider me to work for you as I have a lot to offer. Thank you so much!

something outside of current reality. It may be something which is un attainable, un focused, not understood, perhaps desirable, potentially tragic. Life without dreams would be impossible for me. That is why I live, to fulfill my dreams.

Dream is an endless aim.

For me, a dream is something we strive for. Whether it is to posses a Chalayan garment or to become the greatest in your business. A dream therefore carries great similarity to ‘a goal’,the bog difference though is, that a dream should never be achieved. If it does, it becomes reality.
